Principal's Message

Rachel McCormick

Hello, and welcome to Acacia School!

My name is Rachel McCormick, and I am honored to serve as the principal of Acacia. Whether you are a returning family or are considering Acacia for the first time, I am excited to welcome you to our school community for the 2026–2027 school year.

At Acacia, we believe that strong partnerships between home and school are the foundation of student success. Our dedicated staff, supportive families, and outstanding students work together to create a learning environment where every child feels valued, challenged, and inspired to reach their full potential.

Acacia serves students in Transitional Kindergarten through 6th grade and is known for its strong academic programs, caring school culture, and commitment to meeting the needs of every learner. We are proud of our tradition of excellence and have been recognized as a National Blue Ribbon School, a California Distinguished School, and a Platinum-Level PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) School. These recognitions reflect our focus on academic achievement, positive relationships, and student well-being.

One of the things that makes Acacia unique is our commitment to providing engaging and meaningful learning experiences for all students. Every teacher at Acacia is trained in Gifted and Talented Education (GATE) strategies, ensuring that instruction is rigorous, creative, and responsive to the needs of diverse learners. In addition to strong classroom instruction, students have opportunities to participate in enriching programs, leadership activities, the arts, STEM learning experiences, and a variety of school traditions that help make Acacia such a special place.

This year marks my sixth year as principal of Acacia and my 25th year in education, including more than 20 years with the Fullerton School District. Acacia holds a special place in my heart because my own children attended Acacia from Kindergarten through 6th grade before graduating from Troy High School. As a family, we enjoy spending time outdoors, camping, hiking, and exploring new places with our dogs, Duke and Hunter.

What I love most about Acacia is the sense of community. It is a school where students are known, families are welcomed, and staff members are deeply committed to helping children succeed both academically and personally. We are fortunate to have an active PTA and Foundation, wonderful family support, and a culture that celebrates kindness, respect, and lifelong learning.

The first day of school is Monday, August 10, 2026, and we are looking forward to another fantastic year of learning and growth together.

If you are new to Acacia or would like to learn more about our school, we encourage you to contact our office. We would be happy to answer your questions, arrange a visit, and help you become part of the Acacia family.

Thank you for taking the time to learn about our school. I look forward to partnering with you and making this an exceptional year for every student.

Warmly,

Rachel McCormick
